This trip actually covered 2 different days.

First, we headed out to find old Pinal City and the wagon tracks embedded into the land.
We kept seeing these signs for "Legends of Superior Trails" and did some research when we got home.
Turns out the town of Superior has these great connections to the Arizona Trial, and part of it has stops in Pinal City.

So, armed with more information, we returned a couple of weeks later with our intrepid friends, Don &Arlene.

This was a lot of fun. We tramped around, met some great Forest Service guys who gave us some pointers on old ruins, and in general had a great time.
